College Goal Sunday
John Carroll University is pleased to once again serve as one of 50 host sites in the state-wide college financial aid event called “College Goal Sunday” (CGS). This year’s event, which is a free service provided to the community, will take place in the Dolan Center for Science & Technology on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2 p.m.
Financial aid professionals are available to assist students and parents with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the federal application that is required to receive federal and state financial aid including the Federal Pell Grant and student loans as well as institutional-based grants (when available). The FAFSA is the key to funding a college education and helps families to overcome financial barriers that otherwise prevent students from attending their desired institution. Studies show that students are 50% more likely to attend college when they complete the FAFSA.
While walk-ins will be accommodated, families are encouraged to register for this free event in advance at www.ohiocollegegoalsunday.org. Students do not have to be applicants to, or students of, John Carroll University.
Don’t live near JCU but still want to take advantage of this assistance? No problem! Be sure to find the location nearest you.
